Administrative Support Representative
Full-time Monday to Friday (7 am – 3:30 pm or 7:30 am – 4 pm)
***Must complete Administrative Billing and Coding program
The employer is a privately held Revenue Cycle, Software, and Practice Management company in Orange, California. They deliver highly personalized services and technologically sophisticated solutions to physician groups, hospitals and ancillary healthcare service providers.
Employer seeks an Administrative Support Representative to provide administrative support to the Billing Department, including payment processing, sorting correspondence, mailing claims, requesting reports, and scanning while providing excellent customer service and identifying areas of process improvement.
Essential Duties 
  • Batching, logging, and processing incoming payments and manual charges
  • Preparing and mailing claims to the insurance carriers 
  • Processing incoming correspondence and automatic appeal letters
  • Requesting, scanning, and forwarding reports
  • Taking initiative and action to resolve issues 
  • Identifying areas for operational improvement and cost reduction

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, or related area, and at least one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred. 
Education and/or Experience - Minimum of six months clerical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience/training.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to apply concepts such as addition and subtraction to practical solutions.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Prioritizing - Ability to prioritize tasks in order to make sure they are completed in a timely manner.
Communication - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and especially with Management whether done in verbally or written format.  This position requires that the individual be able to decipher levels of appropriateness when faced with a situation (chain of command, need to know basis, politically correct communication and guaranteed follow through).  Display positive representation of the corporation.
Confidentiality - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
