SUMMARY
The Laborer is responsible for working on a construction jobsite and may be required to operate various tools and construction equipment, load and unload construction materials, clean and prepare jobsites. The Laborer will be trained to become a skilled laborer, familiar with all aspects of plumbing, electrical, waterproofing and concrete trades. The Laborer will follow the instructions given by the jobsite Forman and Superintendent to ensure proper installation of construction materials and must be physically capable of completing all construction activities. The Laborer is a full time; non-exempt position based in our Anaheim location office and will report directly to the project Superintendent and/or Foreman.  

RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary role is to provide quality workmanship on all OTL projects.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace-site, yard, trailers
  • Operate and care for Construction equipment and machines
  • Help equipment operator, Foreman and other laborers when necessary
  • Load and unload construction materials
  • Cleaning and preparing jobsite
  • General knowledge and understanding of tools such as forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills,  grinders, saws, pressure washers, etc. 
  • Put together and take apart temporary structures
  • Follow instructions from supervisors
  • Perform site clean-up
  • Other task as assigned by Superintendent
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • The Laborer position will require the ability to work well with all levels of construction trades
  • Be a self - motivated individual and display initiative and can manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities effectively
  • Be reliable and able to report to work each day on time
  • Familiarity with construction sites
  • Previous experience or training in construction is recommended
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The LABORER will be working on a construction site, in an outdoor environment with regular exposure to outside weather conditions. This position requires moving the entire body such as climbing, lifting, kneeling, balancing, walking, stooping, and repeatedly bending. Activities often also require considerable use of the arms and legs such as physically handling materials and equipment. Requires stamina to exert one's self physically over long periods of time; must be able to move or handle material generally weighing 0-60 pounds. Outside work with regular exposure to outside weather conditions.
